How the Estimate Is Calculated
The calculator multiplies the room length by the room width to determine the total floor area. It then adds the selected waste percentage and estimates material and installation costs using typical U.S. price ranges.
For example, a 12-foot by 15-foot room has an area of 180 square feet. With 10% waste included, approximately 198 square feet of flooring material may be required.
